The pit stop is the most traumatic time of the race for most of the participants. It is here that places in a shorter race can be won or lost. Event in this long race, there is nothing slow about the stops. Listen to the action.

 The pit speed limit was 65mph. Early on the eventual winner received a 10 second stop-and-go penalty for going to fast. A GT car received a 2 minute penalty for going TOO SLOW!!!!
